DON’T STOP BELIEVING
by Bob Cole
Jesus used the example of the true vine (Jesus), the vinedresser (the Father) and the branches (believers) in teaching us how to pray and seek His will. John 15:7 tells us “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it shall be done for you.” (ESV)
His desires will become our desires if we remain in Him. His words are to remain in us. We are to keep believing, keep abiding, and keep so close to Jesus that we are joined into Him. Just like a branch connected to a vine, when we are attached to Jesus then all that we ask in Him will be fulfilled. We must pass on to others what we receive from Him; from one household to another, and from one generation to the next.
Prayer: Lord, may I recognize today that I am one of Your chosen people, holy and dearly loved by You. May I greet this day full of Your compassion, kindness and humility. Let gentleness and patience direct my responses to others. Above all, help me believe that You are able.
