But let him ask in faith without doubting. For the doubter is like the surging sea, driven and tossed by the wind. – James 1:6 (HCSB)
The fascination of working puzzles – opening the box and working with all the “one of a kind” pieces connecting them together to reach the completed goal – is something that engages all different ages. When all pieces are secured in their place, it brings a satisfied feeling of completion – temporarily.
Our lives take on the schema of puzzles as we work to make them have sense and purpose, even in new directions we hadn’t anticipated. Through my life experiences, both the “blessed and stressed” times, I have found that life without Christ leaves a critical piece missing in my daily living. When I intentionally engage in seeking God’s presence in daily prayers, Bible reading and quiet times, God reveals to me new meaning and purpose no matter my age or stage (widowhood). He changes my perspective and helps me grow my faith, leaning on Him, such that I find courage to do things which in my own power I could not do. With our exciting Engage10K vision, what piece or part has God written my name and your name on? Whatever it is, may we embrace it, be excited about it and be empowered, for eternal significance is part of each piece!
Prayer: Lord, help me to embrace this godly life you have called me to. May I live in such a way that my life will be seen as one grounded in faith and not foolishness. Keep me focused on Your will for my life.
“Though prayer doesn’t change God’s mind or God’s purposes, prayer does change something. It changes us.” – Chuck Smith
Engage10K Prayer: Pray for our widows and single moms to live courageously for Christ. Guide them to engage with others who need Him. Give them boldness and courage to share how He is working in their lives.
