Biblical Truth

The Lord is near all who call out to Him, all who call out to Him with integrity. – Psalm 145:18 (HCSB)

Fire! Mom! Help! Run! Stop! All of these words are guaranteed to get attention. Why? Because words mean something.

Imagine if someone yelled “fmidtrez!” What would you do? Probably not much because “fmidtrez” is a made-up word that even Google can’t define.

So what does that have to do with prayer? Sometimes, a single word is all of the prayer that is required to:

• Free our minds of anxiety.
• Place our cares upon the Lord.
• Draw God near.
• Speak praise for His glory.

God promises that He is near. He promises that He will hear YOU when you call. He promises that your value is unmeasurable. He promises that a single word will always get His attention.

Prayer: Lord, I know You are near because You promise to hear me when I call. Remind me that everything You do is right and that You stick by all who love You. You never leave me alone; I am never without You by my side. Let my mouth speak praise to You because I know I was created for Your glory.

“Our minds can be kept free of anxiety if we dump the load of our cares on the Lord in prayer.” – Chuck Swindoll

Engage10K Prayer: Pray that in our weakness God will show Himself strong to do whatever it takes to lead people to Jesus.
