Finally, be strengthened by the Lord and by His vast strength. Put on the full armor of God so that you can stand against the tactics of the Devil. – Ephesians 6:10-11 (HCSB)
How can I fight against something invisible? Satan and his spiritual forces of wickedness would be much easier to resist if we could see them. But Paul reminds us that our battle is a spiritual one, not a physical one.
Thus, we need to acquaint ourselves with the spiritual armor and tactics which God supplies.
In the life and ministry of Jesus, we constantly see Him standing up against the attacks of Satan. As we abide in Him, and He in us, we have His power to do spiritual warfare. Learn to put on the armor of God, so that you can resist and stand firm.
Also, we have the authority of Jesus to aggressively attack Satan’s strongholds – in our lives and in the lives of others. The evil one and his minions tremble when assailed by a kneeling Christian.
Prayer: Lord, today I resist Satan in Your name. Let me not put up with his taunts and accusations in my life. Free me from falling victim to his schemes over and over again. Renew a right spirit within my heart and mind.
“Those who say in simple surrender ‘Yes, Lord,’ emerge from the experience spiritually rich, and become a source of grace and encouragement to others who are hurting.” – Nancy DeMoss Wolgamuth
Engage10K Request: Pray that we will not worry about obediently doing and giving what God asks of us, for where God guides He will always provide.
